Mulford Wins Flight at Women’s Am

Eagle Creek’s Debbie Mulford fired a final round 94 at Summit Hills Country Club for a six stroke victory in the Calumet Flight of the 2009 Northern Kentucky Women’s Amateur golf tournament.  Debbie advanced through two days of stroke play and one day of match play that reduced each flight to four players.  Mulford survived to post the low score among the Calumet flight’s final four players to secure the victory.

Kristin Lottman defeated Emily Wolfe in a playoff to win the Northern Kentucky Women’s Amateur Championship.  [more coverage at NKY.com]





Junior Golf Lessons

Eagle Creek Country Club will be offering lessons to junior golfers on Tuesday and Thursday nights for two weeks from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm beginning June 30th. Lessons are supervised by PGA professional and Northern Kentucky University golf coach Daryl Landrum. Cost is $25 per golfer.

Livingood Wins Junior Tour Event

Eagle Creek’s Tim Livingood picked up his first tour win of the year with a 75 to win the Boys 14-15 Division of the Northern Kentucky 7-Up Junior Tour Event at Summit Hills.  Tim finished one stroke ahead of Blake Adams and two up on Blake Hamilton and  Northern Kentucky Junior Amateur 14-15 year old winner Adam Millson.  For full results, see nkrgolf.com





Kinman, Nebraski Win NKY Junior Am

The 2009 Northern Kentucky Junior Amateur was contested over two days at Eagle Creek.  Andrew Kinman shot a 42 – 38  – 140 to win the Boys Junior Amateur by two strokes over Paul Macke.  Elizabeth Nebraski shot 80 – 73  – 153 to win the Girls Junior Amateur by six strokes over Katie-Scarlett Skinner. Workman Sets League Record

Lowell Workman fired a new league record round of 31 on the back nine in the Tuesday night Carl Wessell Memorial Golf League.  Workman eagled the par 4 13th hole, as the only break in a string of five birdies on 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17.  He completed the nine with only eleven putts, one off the league record.  Workman had shared the previous back nine league record of 32 with Donnie Martin.

Lance Lucas finished at five under (66 69 – 135) to win the 2009 Eagle Creek Country Club “Willie D” Invitational by three strokes.  Andrew Hodge finished second (65 73 – 138), and Jeremy Martin (63 76 – 139) defeated Sean Burke (65 74 – 139) in a playoff to finish third.

Rob ClarkeThe 2009 Forcht Bank Eagle Creek Country Club “Willie D” Invitational will be played Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31.  The 36 hole stroke play tournament is played in memory of Bill Davidson.  The field is limited to the first 128 paid entries, with an average of 16 players in each flight.

The entry fee is $150 ($125 for Eagle Creek members).  Each player will receive a tee prize with a retail value of $99, 3 rounds of golf (practice round to be played by May 29th) and golf cart for 36 holes.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three places in each flight.  There will be closest to the pin prizes on all par three’s.
