PGA pro Kyle Ramey shot a 62, the lowest score ever posted in a tournament at Eagle Creek to win the 2009 Eagle Creek Country Club Pro-Am. Ryan Martin and Cale Barr tied for second with 63’s
Ryan Martin’s team won the team competition with a 21 under par 119, a tournament record. Martin’s team included Eric Fuldner, Marcus Camacho, Phil Dalton and Bill Willingham. Kyle Ramey’s team (Ben Patrick, David Yerser, Rob Rogers and Chris Hunt) finished second with a 124.

Eagle Creek’s Cody Kellam won the Northern Kentucky 7-UP Junior Tour event Boys 12-13 Division at Fairway Golf Club at Wheatley. Cody shot an 87 for a one stroke win over Daniel Lee.
Eagle Creek’s Jeremy Martin won the Northern Kentucky Golf Association’s Men’s Amateur played at Lassing Pointe. Martin shot a six under (70-66 – 136) to edge out defending champion Chris Morris (70-67 – 137) by one stroke. For full story and photos go to kypost.com. Also go to Grant County News.

Lowell Workman fired a new league record round of 31 on the back nine in the Tuesday night Carl Wessell Memorial Golf League. Workman eagled the par 4 13th hole, as the only break in a string of five birdies on 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17. He completed the nine with only eleven putts, one off the league record. Workman had shared the previous back nine league record of 32 with Donnie Martin.
Lance Lucas
Lance Lucas finished at five under (66 69 – 135) to win the 2009 Eagle Creek Country Club “Willie D” Invitational by three strokes. Andrew Hodge finished second (65 73 – 138), and Jeremy Martin (63 76 – 139) defeated Sean Burke (65 74 – 139) in a playoff to finish third.

At the members annual meeting, Doug Lawrence and Debbie Mulford were re-elected, and Joe Florence was newly elected to the Board of Directors for three year terms. Dave Shepherd was chosen by the Board to continue as President. Continuing on the Board are Scott Arnold, Marcus Camacho, Jeff Clair, Don Scalf, Dave Shepherd and Kevin Wright.
Daryl Landrum announced his resignation effective December 31.
In the special meeting, the by-law amendment that requires members to be present at a meeting to be able to vote, ending the use of proxies, passed.
Eagle Creek Country Club’s Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday August 16 at 7:15 pm. There will be an election of three directors to each serve a three-year term.
There will be a Special Meeting of the Membership at 6:45 pm on Saturday August 16, to vote on a by-law change that would allow a member to only vote in person and would eliminate voting by proxy.
