Rob Clarke Wins “Willie D” Invitational

Rob Clarke shot consecutive rounds of 67 to win the 2008 Forcht Bank Eagle Creek Country Club “Willie D” Invitational with a 134 total.  Mark Krahe finished second with a 64-73 - 137.  Four players tied for third with 139’s; Phil Harper, Chad Creech, Tom Goeke and Todd Martin.  For complete results go to Invitational Results.

Work Begins on Back Nine Fairways June 2

ZOYSIA Grass Fairways. Eagle Creek Country Club is moving forward to complete a project to convert the fairways to zoysia grass.   The new watering system on the course and the front nine conversion to zoysia grass were completed in 2007.  This summer work is scheduled to begin converting the back nine fairways about Monday June 2 (holes #11, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17).  The course will remain open all summer.  However during the process we may have to temporarily close one or two holes, or play them as par 3’s for a week or two.
